Good Deeds Of McConnell

McConnell Golf is increasing its territory day by day. It already has 10 private clubs and out of those 10 8 of them has facilities in Carolinas. It also has a Reserve Club in Pawleys Island.

LStar Management first hired McConnell to help them operate the Ocean Club and the Members Club au the Grande Dunes. In addition to that they were also handed the Grand Dunes Marina and the Anchor Café that is there on the Intracoastal Waterway. On December 20th LStar bought the Grande Dunes resort from the Burroughs & Chaplin Co.

Out of the 10 courses that McConnell Golf operates, The Members Club is one of the first courses that they do not own. However the contract can be renewed after two years. Both of the parties are seriously concerned about the quality of the course and that is why they have been together for such a long time.

In the recent times there were lot of offers to operate the courses but McConnell was the top priority amongst all the others. In the initial contract 70 per cent of the initiation fees were refundable but only if you resigned. But the fact that the courses were so well maintained made it possible for everyone to stick to McConnell. The continuous impetus to improve the overall service has given everyone a real boost to everyone.

They have walk mowed the greens, painted the cups and the car windshields are washed almost every alternate days. The best part is they have kept a watch on each and every small detail just to keep up to the reputation. Due to all things and because of the quality of service they give McConnell has been able to retain the operations although they have not succeeded in owning any of the courses. But it is a very big scale which they are working on and that should not be minuscule.

Rose honored with Lifetime European Tour membership

2013 has already been an incredible one for Justin Rose, a year that saw him win his first major title when he narrowly beat the legendary American golfer Phil Mickelson by two strokes to take the US Open back in June.

And now, the 33 year old South African born Englishman can add an honorary lifetime membership of the European Tour to his list of achievements for 2013. Last week, Rose became only the 47th ever golfer in the history of the European Tour to be conferred with that honor and joined the likes of Northern Ireland’s Rory McIlroy and Graeme McDowell.

And the Englishman is eagerly looking forward to the new season which he hopes will bring more success for him and is looking forward to becoming a worthy beneficiary of such a huge honor.

Rose, who had struggled for long periods since he first broke into the world of professional golf so many years back now until recently when he managed to secure his first major title. And the man he beat to the title, Phil Mickelson stated that now that he has got the monkey off his back, the world will see the best of Justin Rose.

Speaking about the honor bestowed on him, the honor is a huge one, adding that for a kid who had started his career as a professional with 21 missed cuts, this honor means a lot to him. And he hailed the European Tour as well, commenting that the whole journey couldn’t have been possible without all the hard work.

Justin Rose now turns his attention to the Race to Dubai, stating that at the beginning of the year, it is everyone’s dream to win it but it only becomes an option once some tournaments are played and he is looking forward to it.
